Miraculous Eagle Farm Victory for Profiteer 2YO
There is an easy way to break your maiden and a hard one and the Paul Shailer trained Profit in Paradise definitely found the hard way when saluting at Eagle Farm on Wednesday to become the fifth winner for his young sire Profiteer.
Producing an outstanding turn of foot to come from back in the field, our @mmsnippets sold Profit In Paradise, a son of @NewgateFarm‘s Profiteer, breaks his maiden @BrisRacingClub for @RacingShailer and @ChesterJag 🙌@breednet @anz_news @TTRAusNZ @barry_bowditch @BownessBoss pic.twitter.com/nk8uuaXvBA

Profit in Paradise was lining up for his fourth race start and second this preparation in the 1000m maiden and his chances looked forlorn when he missed the kick by about five lengths.
Jag Guthmann-Chester didn’t panic, allowing the juvenile to quietly regroup before securing a passage up the fence.
With 300m to run, Profit in Paradise still looked no hope, but he stuck to his guns and surged through late to take the lead and while the effort was starting to tell, he had enough left to hang on and win by a long head.

Profit in Paradise is the fifth winner (one in Philippines) for Profiteer, who stands at Newgate a fee of $11,000.
