All roads lead to the new Riverside Stables
The sales team of Bowness Stud soon heads off to the new Riverside Stables of the Inglis Bloodstock company with an extensive draft of quality yearlings that lives right up to such an auspicious occasion.
Comprising of 800 Lots, this year’s Sydney Classic Yearling Sale begins a new era for one of the great bloodstock auctioning companies of the world and Bowness Stud can’t get to the venue quick enough with a very broad selection of youngsters that should make wide appeal to the buying bench.
Without going into the consignment with too much detail, our selection of colts include sons of Dream Ahead (USA), Pierro, Starcraft (NZ), The Factor (USA) and Zoustar, as well as Bowness Stud resident stallions Bon Hoffa and Bullet Train (GB).
Our fillies heading to Classic Sale include daughters of Bon Hoffa, Choisir, Deep Field, Smart Missile, So You Think (NZ), The Factor (USA) and Your Song.
Some of the standout Lots from a catalogue page perspective include a full-sister to Listed ATC Weona Girl Stakes winner Choice Words; the fifth living foal of Group 2 MVRC Sunline Stakes winner Beautiful Gem; a Your Song filly from Gooree’s Listed AJC Toy Show Stakes winner Moti; and a Bullet Train half-brother to last season’s Listed WATC Farnley Stakes winner Stocks.
The sale is scheduled to commence with a night selling session starting at 6.00pm on Saturday February 10.
Bowness Stud is also proud to announce the sponsorship of a $100,000 event to run on the Inglis Classic Race Day at Warwick Farm that same afternoon.
To be programed as the Bowness Stud Mile, the contest is to be an Open Handicap over 1600 metres and can be expected to attract a strong field of horses heading towards the traditional Sydney Autumn Carnival events held at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick in the following weeks.
